Week 38- Rome, 8/31/15

Well about the week....This week was a roller coaster of a week.
Haha we had ALOT of people not show up to our lessons or cancel 20
minutes before... And that pretty much bites. Then our man that had
the baptismal date, didn't show up to our appointment and then when we
called him he told us he is moving to Germany next week and can't meet
anymore...So... Let's just say that was a disappointment. That I
think is one of the hardest things about the mission is to watch
people have the gospel in their hands, feel the joy, and then they
disappear or decide they don't want it anymore. It breaks your heart
to watch as a missionary, and as a person in general because you know
the potential for goodness and the amount of blessings that are
waiting for them and they just walk away. I think about that talk by
Anziano Holland where he says that as a missionary you experience a
piece of how the Savior feels, and I think about how I love these
people so so much, and then how much Heavenly Father loves them and
how sad he must be to watch them turn away.....:(
But on the plus side!!!! We have something super cool in the brew!
First off we have another person that wants to get baptized...
However....He disappeared the day after we asked him and he said
yes... But we're hoping to catch him this week again. Annddd there is
this other investigator who called us and said she wanted us to teach
her boyfriend the gospel!! So we went and taught him the restoration
and he was really really interested!! He just sat with this big smile when 
we showed him the picture of the prophet. :)) and the spirit was so strong and he said he wanted to learn more!! So thatis exciting :) But ya... It was a good week, overall. I love the people here. SOOO much. That's one of the best things about being a missionary is the
love you feel for the people. I honestly love the people here a ton,
they are just apart of my heart.
